Covid-19 Effect on Climate ChangeFaced with a rapidly changing climate, and its devastating effects, we must work as a global community to make the changes necessary to slow and stop global warming. When the COVID-19 pandemic started, the true magnitude of transportation-based pollution was brought to light, as people began avoiding public transportation and carpooling. Additionally, a dramatic increase in single-use plastics, mainly from PPE and takeout services, only compounded our preexisting issues with proper waste collection and reduction. As the pandemic stretches on we must find a way to keep ourselves safe, while also not neglecting climate change.
